Robust, heavy-duty dicer
Designed for high volumes and continuous product flow, the Tridis™ 240 cuts a wide range of different products. It is particularly suitable for very demanding frozen vegetable and fruit processing environments.
This high-capacity dicer accepts products up to 240 mm (9 29/64”) in any dimension. A special execution is available for larger-diameter products such as white and red cabbage.
A wide variety of cutting tools make slicing, strip-cutting and dicing possible with one machine. The Tridis 240 cuts a wide range of cut sizes from 3 mm up to 25 mm (1/8” up to 1”), in dice, strips, flat and crinkle shapes.
Applications
The Tridis 240 allows processors to dice a wide variety of softer products such as mango, apples, pears and strawberries and harder root vegetables like carrots, turnip and celeriac. Other successful products are beetroot, broccoli, onions and potatoes.
Features
An obstruction-free product flow and minimal cutting zone length allow the Tridis 240 to run at a higher velocity, optimising both capacity and cut quality.
The stainless steel 4 kW (5.5 HP) motor contributes to superior throughput and production reliability.
Simplicity is incorporated in the design, with Set & Forget features supporting quick, easy changeover of cutting tools.
The smart design delivers high long-term value. Production costs are significantly reduced with a minimum of wear parts and long-lasting, high-quality blades entirely manufactured in-house.
Operating principle
Products entering the Tridis 240 are cut in three steps, in a single operation.
Centrifugal force holds the product against the inside of the drum wall as the impeller paddles (1) carry the product past the slicing knife (2). The slice thickness is adjustable.
As the slices emerge, they are guided between the slicing knife and slice guide before entering the circular knives (3) where they are cut into strips. The strips pass directly through the crosscut knives (4) which make the dice.
